“Love your family. Spend time, be kind & serve one another. Make no room for regrets. Tomorrow is not promised & today is short.” ~ Unknown
I recently had the unique pleasure of photographing my own family as a gift for my mother in-law for her 80th birthday. When I say my family, I mean my husband’s two brothers and their families in addition to my own and my in-laws. 4 families, 15 people, 7 grandchildren. It was tiring, exhilarating, colorful, energetic, and absolutely wonderful. Who knows when we will all get together again? Most of the grandchildren are now graduating, either high school or college and schedules are even harder to coordinate. To celebrate this milestone birthday, we all traveled to a special place that has become dear to the hearts of generations of Kline’s now – Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania. It was lush, green, rainy and drizzly at times, and the perfect backdrop for our family reunion and generational family portraits. I coordinated via email and texts regarding wardrobe and styling and I think everyone did an amazing job pulling it all together. To say that this was a labor of love would be an understatement… I worked hard to create memories and heirloom portraits that our families will enjoy for many years. For the first time in a long time, my in-laws and will have a beautiful large canvas of their legacy up on their mantles for display. They will have an album to proudly hold and share and the artwork of their family up on their walls to enjoy each and every precious day. Time flies… It is with joy and pleasure that I share a little glimpse into our own Generations family session.
